With some families (and some years), it's a blast. Kids and I get out of the house, nobody tries to go back and forth between adults.
Other families and/or years, it's a nightmare. Kids go from adult to adult until they get what they want. They decide to stay home all day, then naturally there are sibling issues, stir-craziness, and kids wanting attention from one or both parents.
I've had several great spring breaks, and it can work with a sahp or wahp, but it's a delicate balance. This year, I hate it. I can't get the kids out, and every time one of the kids voices so much as a different opinion, a parent intercedes...
Normally, I enjoy having the kids home. I think this is the first time I've ever been waiting so eagerly for school to restart.
