Still getting over leaving my two little ones raised from infants. It's been four months. But I do see them almost every weekend so that really helps. It truly is the saddest part of the job.

Mine are moving this summer, and my youngest keeps telling me everyday that he misses me already.

Wise parents will do almost anything to maintain their child's relationship with a beloved nanny.

It's possible that you'll stay a part of her life. I left my nanny job 5 years ago and I'm still very close to the family and see them regularly. I was afraid the relationship would change once I didn't see them every day but we are as close as ever.

If you are a good nanny, it is - and always will be - the worst part of the job.

Maybe, she will get a little brother or sister you can also take care of and be able to stay close. Is she going to preschool soon?

I completely understand, op! I try to enjoy every minute because while mine may be a handful at times, he’s still a huge sweeatheart, and he’s growing so fast. He’s gonna be four in less than a month!

We're military, and we're moving after 4 years in one place. I was crying today at my son's (awful) talent show. It is so hard to leave people you've become attached to, and these people are just school friends!

My youngest two have only known the nanny we have here, and it breaks my heart to think about taking them away from her.

This is really sweet. I’m an MB and I am also already sad about when DS and his nanny won’t be every day buddies. But she has taught and influenced him so much and we are so thankful for her.

My 2.5 year old charge is a true joy. I have been her nanny since she was five-days-old. She is adorable, loving and so bright. She is the child in toddler classes who does everything the teacher does and always thanks her teachers. She spontaneously walks up to any child who is crying and wants to help them. She loves being read to and know all the alphabet now and the "sounds" each letter makes. She was a very early talker and has an amazing imagination. She potty trained herself at 21 months and is just an loving, wonderful little kid...

... and I know my relationship with her will end at some point and the thought breaks my heart. I really got way too attached to this one. This child and my very first charge are the loves of my life. The other charges have been adorable and sweet - but none like my first charge and this charge.

Yes - I am sure I will stay in this charge's life after she stops needing me but the fact that she will stop needing me soon just hit me yesterday (she is so independent). It hurts my heart to know I won't be with her every day at some point.

Toughest part of the job without question.
