Hmmm. This is tricky. She's very demonstrative with affection, but she doesn't realize that other people are not comfortable with it. I would first try what the PP suggested and use humor to avoid it, and hopefully that will work. Maybe try to busy yourself with a quick task while she's saying goodbye, or say I'll use this opportunity to run to the restroom really fast. Maybe try different things each day so she won't get offended, and at some point she'll not even? think about doing it. Good luck, OP.

+1 It's tricky because you don't want to offend her and get fired.

Just put your hand on your forehead and laugh, "no kiss for me today!"

Read the OP. She did it two days in a row.

I think it is sweet. My MB is pretty cold at times and I wish she were more like your MB

Nanny here. I would have been surprised but doing it once would have been funny.
I wouldn't let it happen every day though, so when you feel she's about to leave the house, just put the kids on the floor.

And what if her DB kissed her goodbye?

Stop holding the babies when she's leaving.

“MB, I hope this won’t offend you, but I have a really large personal bubble with adults, even ones I like as much as I like you, and I’d really rather you not kiss me.”

When she's about to leave, make sure you put the babies down and back away. How old are you?

MB is very sweet. She’s Type A, very kind and super affectionate. I am more reserved and generally not comfortable with physical affection. Especially in a work setting.

Yesterday morning MB was kissing my Nks (10-month-old twins) goodbye, they were in my arms and she kissed them both on the forehead and then kissed me on the foreheads. I didn’t expect it and kind of nervously laughed. She said, “and goodbye to you!” She laughed and I know she meant it innocently, she’s just like that but... it made me uncomfortable. She’s very touchy, and today she did the same thing when she left. I don’t want her to think this is ok, but don’t know how to respectfully ask her to stop.

Advice?
