Tell her you were planning to continue (for the next week) but because she said it was your last day, that you made other arrangements to help another family until you find a full time job. That way she can’t say you up and left after giving her 1 day notice. If she reaches out again, tell her it was a pleasure but you’ve found another family.
Good luck!

Yes!
Why would you tell her? She told you not to go back so there is no reason to.

You should have given notice, OP. Do not do that again - you will tarnish your future prospects.
Op here. Mb did not ask if I could work longer after I told her I couldn't handle the job on Monday. She basically said it was my last day. I was prepared to work for another week but she said it was my last day because I couldn't handle little demon child.

This morning I get a text message asking if I can please work today and tomorrow. One of the reasons I quit the job is also because her young male cousin is basically living in the living room right now. It's not a comfortable feeling because they don't have a playroom. The living room or taking them to the neighborhood playground are the only places we could be today and tomorrow. I also basically have to accept my son and the other 2 year old won't nap today and tomorrow. I'm so new to this job that I haven't been able to get them into a nap routine. My son naps just fine usually but he needs the room to be quiet. I honestly don't know what to do. The cousin who stays in the living room is supposed to be taking over this weekend. I am assuming he can't handle the job.
