Normal? You have done a formal study on who takes off their clothing right-side out and who takes off their clothing right-side in?

I never turn my kids clothing inside out when I take them off - neither does DH or Nanny.

I have, my husband has and my kid has. They even leave their underwear in their pants. No big deal.

Your 21 month old can take off a sweatshirt by himself? He's a genius.

At 21 months my children were still in diapers. I toilet trained the month before they each turned three. Thus, I assumed if the charge was wearing underwear, they were 3. But I stand by my initial statement that this is a non-issue.

If the toddler has food or vomit all over, the top layer is inside out until it goes in the sink so I can rinse it out. The rest is always right side out. I've taught all my charges to take care of their clothes appropriately, some parents do a better job of sticking to it than others.

Wow! You are a fascinating individual with a rich life! However, your jeans care is completely irrelevant. But thanks so much for sharing your riveting post!

The family I work for is like this; even the adults. I asked about it once and mentioned how crazy making it is and they said why? I’m said because it takes a lot longer to process the laundry and because it annoying to stick my adult sized hands into tiny sleeves to flip it around. Nothing changed. It bothers me and not them so that’s that. All I can do is make sure they’re right side out when I take them off and try to teach the kids to take them off right side out. When I fold the moms clothes, I may or may not flip them right side and out. Depends on my mood and how obvious it is they’re wrong. The dad mostly do a his own laundry since they’re in the process of divorcing and the mom quit doing it a few months ago.

I don't. It drives me nuts when my kids do it.

DH does this. Poor unbringing.

No, my DD does this too and even my own clothes end up this way sometimes.

I honestly have no clue how my employers undress my charge at night to make her clothing completely inside-out every single time. Her underwear is still in her pants and both are inside out. They undress her like a snake losing his skin! It makes doing her laundry take longer than it should.

Worth mentioning or not?
