Awww late to the thread. I took my charges to the library for valentines books and then we had a date at Dunkin’ Donuts for their special heart shaped goodies. It’s enough because they have everything imaginable and got a ton of cards and notes from friends. We didn’t make anything for parents, that’s for them to do for each other and we make them things on Christmas and birthdays.

Left over strawberry birthday cake. We already did valentines for class, but we’re going to do some for their parents. Not sure what else yet? Definitely normal after school schedule though.

Perhaps I will paint my 6 yr. old charge’s fingernails pink or take her to get a pink manicure.

Baking Valentine's cookies for his parents. I got him a little red firetruck as a VD gift.

His parents will do nothing (as usual) for either my charge or me.

We will be making Valentines for his preschool class this week and on Wednesday, I will give him my Valentine's Day gift (little heart-shaped box of chocolates). My employers generally give me a small piece of jewelry as a gift on Valentine's Day.

I'm taking the 3 yr old to the library... and then picking up the brother from school. We'll probably stop by Randolph's for a heart cookie.

No too much. They are spoiled enough already.

I just read about making little red (food coloring) ice cubes in heart-shaped ice cube trays and dropping them in a big sheet cake pan of shaving creme. The ice melts slowly and will color the shaving cream pink. I think I will try it for my little sensory loving charge!

I am going to make pink heart-shaped pancakes for lunch and have them make pink ice cream (vanilla with food coloring because they both only like vanilla) for dessert for dinner.

I got them both small Valentine's Day "goody bags" with little toys in them.

Last week I got my 3 yr old a bunch of heart shaped balloons and dressed her in her ballet tutu, pick tights and her black Dr Marten boots and took pictures of her holding the balloons on a city street. She looked adorable and the pics turned out great! We are printing one out and framing it for them.

And an art project - something messy, I am sure!

My charges are a two-year-old and a newborn so our options are limited! But I got card stock, glue and red and pink glitter. I will cut out the hearts and let the two-year-old go crazy.

I ordered my two-year-old charge red heart lollipops for her friend in her music class and we are making Valentines for her parents out of card stock and red and pink finger paint.

I got her a couple Valentine's Day books.

Any nannies out there doing something more fun?
