Op here: Thanks. I sent an invoice today and mb seemed a little weird at pickup. There was 1 Friday after work she wanted me to babysit so she could go to happy hour. I said no and she asked if she could give me an extra $100 to do it. I agreed because at that point I was already going to be late for my Orangetheory class. I think she was surprised I actually put it on the invoice. She asked if she can pay once a month last month instead of biweekly. I agreed. It's now been 4 weeks and I haven't received my check. When should I say something again? Tomorrow or Sunday?

For one, you are quitting, not firing her. For two, you need to tell the truth tactfully or just give no explanations. DO NOT LIE!

I wish I would be employed by someone that thinks it’s ok to be sitting in a bar getting drunk or picked up when it’s my stop time and their kids are waiting. I’d call the police and have them waiting. She’d know you’re quitting for sure then

I've had it with my mb. She's not respecting my time or me. She's always late. She continues to go to happy hour every Friday even though I say NO. She doesn't tell me when her children are sick. She's so clueless about everything and I have had enough. I already have a weekend nanny job. What's the best way to get out of this arrangement? Should I tell a white lie?
