Yes it’s illegal but this is what we do. My first 40 are direct deposit and reported etc and then they tally up any ot and reimbursements and write a separate check on Friday. They also have always given me any raises and bonuses on the side but the DD money has been the same since I started.

I really don’t care if it’s illegal. I pay taxes on my first 40 and plenty of people that don’t even go to work and sit around all day doing nothing benefit from me doing so. America has turned into a shit country and people have to do what they have to do.

If you're paying her in cash or checks without taking out taxes, then yes, it's illegal.

As long as you're paying OT rates (1.5x) and paying FICA taxes, it's legal. Doesn't matter if it's on one check, two checks, or all in pennies.

If the weekend checks are not at OT rate or are not being reported to the IRS, then it's illegal no matter how you pay it.

if you do agree to get overtime and weekend hours on your paycheck is it for legal reasons?
