Because they are jerks and want money. If they really were good they wouldn’t be leaving their kids with other people to raise them for them so they can make money and live a certain lifestyle.

Nanny here. I agree with PP. Could have written the exact same words.

You sound like you are definitely worth your weight in pure gold OP!

And if your Nanny Family cannot see this clearly, then they sure will when you leave them for good.

When you work with children and for children, you are always working on the side of the angels. If all your employers are good for is a paycheck - then take it and know that you are valuable and appreciated by the children.

Some employers will see your connection and contribution to their children and others never will. It is hard for some parents to admit that you are important to their children and they feel very jealous and competitive in regard to their children's love for their nanny.

You become a nanny and work with children for the children, OP.

And remember that being unappreciated by a boss or employer is not an issue that only nannies face.

I feel like I do so much for you & your family. I feel it's all taken for granted. I love & care for your kids like they are my own. The is aboulsluty nothing in the world I wouldn't do to keep them safe, happy & healthy. I feel you both put down the connection & influence I have made in your children lives.

I have LOVED and cared for them. I have changed diapers, bathed them, potty trained them. I have been thrown up on and have been used as a tissue. I have been peeed and poped on. I have been spit up on. Been used as a napkin. And still I love your kids!

I have been hugged & kissed! Been told I love you. Shared many giggles. Played millions game, songs books. Shared so many amazing memories. That I'll always cherish them all!

I have witnessed so many first. The first time they rolled over, first step, first word. Every time I just said they were so close to doing it. So you as the parents could see their first.

I keep your home organized & clean. I not only clean up after your kids but also the two of you. Do the laundry.

I have given so much of myself to your family over the years. I am so tired & feel unappreciated! I hope when I am gone, you finally see all I did for your family.
