Stop doing this. Coming up with excuses, especially bogus ones, just invites people to try to help you solve the problem, and leads to hurt feelings when they realize you were just using the problem as an excuse.
Just say you've decided to move. And if you don't want to move, just say that you've loved working for them, but you need to move on. Period. You might lose the reference if she's angry in that case, though.
