I don’t know if you and your charges family text but what I’ve been doing around naptime, is sending a group text to Mom & dad about activities, pictures, what they ate and what time she went down for nap. This way by time they come home, I can say “yep, she had a blast” or tell them about a part in the day she really loved and what time she woke up. I deliver all this while I’m putting on my coat and then okay, see you tomorrow.

I’m sure they understand and it doesn’t look like I don’t want to talk. I’ve been working 10.5 hours and I’m ready to go home and unwind.

Great idea! Thanks!

To be the best possible nanny I can be. I know there are a few areas where I could improve - nothing my MB/DB have said - just in my work with my charge. Teaching and helping to raise a child is such a huge responsibility that I want to do it as best as I possibly can for my charge's sake. She is a beautiful, amazing little toddler who deserves the best nanny in the world.

My charge turned two in December and is ready for some "academics". She can count and sing the alphabet song but can only recognize a handful of letters. My job resolution is to find fun stress-free ways to work on letter identification and phonics.

Personally, I want to work on doing my own household chores as a part of my weekly routine so my weekends are just for fun and relaxation. Happy 2018!

My resolution is to strengthen my lower back and knees. With my charge getting heavier and my diaper backpack not getting lighter, going up and down stairs has been causing me pain at the end of the day and at night. Yes, I have her walk up the stairs whenever possible but there are some instances where she simply can't.

Happy New Year, Nannies? Does anyone have any job related resolutions this new year?
