Gave $1000 cash (about $150 more than her weekly take home), two nice picture frames w/ small pictures of our kids (which she can obviously swap out if she wants to) and a nice note. Nanny of almost a year.

Oh, and the only comments about the number of gifts that I gave the kids were that I could label them from me or Santa, put them wherever I wanted, and they hoped I hadn't overspent. Having had previous employers who would not allow any gifts for kids... It was a very welcome change!

So far just a gift from former employers for whom I still work a few hours every week - a gift card worth about one-tenth of the gift I gave their child. They were always surprisingly cheap. But I do dearly love their little girl.

I got 1/2 week’s pay in the form of gift cards to a store they know I like. It’s fine but nothing to write home about.
