In her home she can say whatever she wants.

It sounds like your MB should consider medication herself.

She sounds like an insecure new mom. I wouldn't quit over this alone.
She must have a medicine cabinet in the house.
Tell her your allergy medication is a necessity, and you'd be happy to keep a small bottle of it in her high up medicine cabinet if she wants, instead of your purse.
And tell her clients/parents usually babyproof their house (locks on cabinets and such) when baby starts to crawl, around 9 months.
She's probably just hormonal and not thinking.

MB here and I would quit immediately citing this as your reason. As others have wisely pointed out, OP, this work situation can only get worse. Any employer who thinks that an employee cannot take aspirin or a Claritin while working is truly insane.

If you quit now you will never have to use her as a reference. However, if you do stay working there you will have to explain her to future employers.

I agree with the others...quit before she has a chance to fire you without notice. This is the type of mom you'll be constantly walking on eggshells around, worried that you'll say the wrong thing, or make the wrong decision in some way. This will get worse, not better. Also, the correct answer to her question was either none of your business, or vitamins.

This is screaming, "GET AWAY FROM THIS LUNATIC.". Find a new job because it will only get worse.

Day 4 and she saw me go to my purse and take my allergy medicine. She a) asked what I took b) told me not to take any medications on the clock. Reasoning? Baby could get into it and die. Baby is 8 weeks old and I’m obviously going to keep it out of her reach once she can crawl. You obviously think I’m incapable, why did you hire me? I entertained her, “what do I do if I haven’t headache? Stomachache?”

“Well, we will have to think about that but probably take a sick day if it becomes too much.”

What the hell is with some of these parents? It’s fine to be this uptight, but do is all a favor and just stay home.
