No, we don't record sound.

Just install security cameras and tell your nanny about them. No need to call them nanny cams.

Our cameras are not hidden, like in a teddy bear. If you turn your head in the right direction, you'd absolutely see them. We just didn't tell anyone about them.

I don't know if it's legal or not but of course there's no problem since you have not told them.

Tell the nanny. I am a nanny and always suggest new parents get a nanny cam. I actually like them. However I would quit immediately if I found out there were hidden cameras.

Nanny here, let her know about them, don’t put them in the bathroom or anything creepy. I’d want to know simply so if I needed to make calls when my charge is sleeping that I could have reasonable privacy when doing so

You need to tell the nanny regardless of the laws in DC. It is the right thing to do. You cannot have any cameras in the bathrooms or any room where the nanny might change.

I am a nanny and I welcome cameras. I work really hard with my charge and want my employers to see it.

Tell them if they feel uncomfortable with them. Get rid of the nanny

You need to tell the nanny. Not every nanny feels comfortable working in a home that has a camera, some do.

I'm planning on buying a nanny camera for my home. Do I need to tell the nanny or should I not mention it. I love in DC.
