I used to go to a playground, where there was one particular nanny that i saw more or less regularly who was also like this.
She would sit talking on the phone for the hour or so that she would be on the playground with her charge and pretty much ignored the kid. No wiping noses, no pushing swings, no reaction when the kid puts sand in her mouth, etc... On one of the days, her charge wandered outside of the play area, and someone else's nanny ran after him and brought child back.
What's wrong with you??
Next time you immediately call 911 to report this sort of thing.
Call 911 and say what? Jesus, no this nanny is not stellar by any means but her actions are hardly criminal. OP, either open your mouth and say something or get a life and stop stirring up anonymous drama.
FYI, child neglect is actually criminal.
I would have at least made sure the parents knew about the incidents.

Parents should learn the difference.
You usually get what you pay for.
+1 Probably one of those bargain nannies the posters are always writing about. "Our nanny is wonderful and is $15 an hour and she loves housework".

Anonymous wrote:Playground on Newark around 3:30pm... Nanny with the first name that starts with a “G”. Wearing all black, black sunglasses and very over weight. Watching 2 children- 1 boy age 5 and girl age 3. Nanny ignoring kids and kids, especially little girl. Back turned the entire time. Wouldn’t get up to push children on swings and was ignoring the children. If I was paying her to watch my kids pissed. I know the nanny’s name and little girl but won’t post it.
