First of all, when I responded, mom hadn't said everyday. Second, it's 10-15 hours. Third, once you add in travel time back and forth, it eats up more time than you think.
But the most salient point in my mind is that this nanny works a 55-hour week, and has apparently been doing a lot of household work already. There aren't a lot more duties to be added at this point, and I think it is reasonable to let her do the grocery shopping while the kid is in school.
Ok that's three hours per week. What about the rest?

When my NF kids were at preschool I just had that time to myself. I worked 55 hours a week for 2 years, They didnt feel the need to make me work the 6 hours a week when the youngest went to preschool 2 mornings a week.

When this happened in my last job, I used the extra time to read up on my child development interests. My employers didn't feel compelled to keep me moving every minute.

We have had our nanny for almost 10 years. When this situation came up, we discussed it with the nanny. Said that every year the job responsibilities will change given the kid will be at school more. Every year there was a discussion about the time free and the new responsibilities. As long as you are open and the nanny is willing, you can agree to almost anything.
At this point, my nanny does a ton of errands, supervising repairs done in the house, and driving of my kid.

DD will be starting preschool next year at 2.5 - most likely a drop-off program for two to three hours. We love our nanny and want to keep her for both DD and (hopefully) another child at some point.
Nanny already does all of DD's laundry, organizing and grocery shopping as well as all of our household and child ordering of supplies. We have a housekeeper once a week and a cleaning service so cleaning is not something we need or that nanny would ever do anyway.
What can nanny do when DD is in preschool?
