People say many things about keeping in touch but life gets in the way. Maybe she thinks it is best to cut ties and move forward.

I am a nanny. I always try to keep in touch with my former charges. I ask about them once in a while and if we can we meet each other for coffee, lunch or birthdays.

I wish some of my former employers would send me school pix or holiday pics etc to see them grow. It doesn't happen much. They mean well but don't think about it.

Anyway it goes both ways to keep in touch and since you miss your nanny, just ask her over or send some texts once in a while, she will happily reply Maybe she got busy with her new job.

Ha ha! PP here and we have been doing this for two years. My former charge, his parents and I all disagree with you - it seems perfect to us!

I agree, reach out to her. Maybe she thought it was just words and you didn't really mean you wanted to keep in touch so she may well really appreciate this.
You sound a nice MB. Good on you for not just forgetting your nanny and tossing her aside. A lot could learn from you.

I left a part time job that I was at for 3 years a few months ago to start my career.

Unfortunately for me the job left for didn't work out so I've been busy trying to find a full-time job and piece together employment.

think about my former family but every time I do I get busy and just don't send a note.
I have no complaints about them and they treated me well over the years.
Sometimes people just get busy and don't get around to doing the things they want to do.

I still see my former charge once a week and he FaceTime s me several evenings a week. However, I am phasing out of another job that I have had for two years and although I care for the child, the parents have treated me poorly. That's great that you care! (Not sarcastic whatsoever) I'm a former nanny I left that position because I got pregnant. I still KIT with my former boss! I miss her I text her every so often I looked at her like she was my older sister( she is same age as my brother)

So, you wrote to her and she never responded? Or you just think she should be contacting you?

Had a great nanny for close to 3 years from the time my kids were 5 months and 2 until just a few months ago. She left to work in the field she was going into. We have a new nanny now and she's good, but I am a little sad we haven't heard anything from former nanny.

I know she's probably busy, but I guess I thought we'd hear from her at least once. Not a big thing just makes me a little sad.
