Thank you, OP. I wish more MBs would share the benefits of having a nanny care for your child.

It's good you value her, so many mbs can't see what they have got. Keep telling her x

DH and I are away, alone, for the first time in 22 months - since our child was born. Although I physically ache for my toddler, we are having an amazing, relaxing and romantic six day vacation.

And none of this would have been possible without our wonderful nanny.

We face time with DD and nanny sends videos and we have checked the cameras more than usual just to see DD at home. DD is happy and comfortable - living her usual days with nanny and going to bed secure and happy at night. I cannot tell you what a relief this is! We both have parents in the area but it would be a disruption to DD if she went to stay with them or they came to stay with her at our home - with her nanny, her life is normal with the exception of dinner, bath and bed (but that has all gone smoothly). Plus nanny handles all the goings on at the house - deliveries, mail, housecleaners, trash, grocery shopping, ordering supplies - so we will not be coming home to an empty fridge or messy house.

I just feel very grateful today. I cannot wait to get home to see my baby but this trip has been so fantastic for us and I would not have relaxed this much without our nanny.
