Hello! Do you have an answer/ solution for that by now? I just received an w-8ben form as well and neither my bank nor my LCC are very helpful... I don’t want to fill out something wrong and sign something I don’t really understand. My bank just keeps saying: “Just write everything down and sign it” but I refuse to do so... I mean who knows what that means? I am already soo confused with all these taxes and know I should sign something I don’t understand? On the other hand I’m afraid what might happen if I don’t sign and send it back in my given time period...

My au pair received a letter from her bank saying she may be required to fill out a W-8BEN form. I asked the LCC and I don't think she gave me the correct information and the IRS site is even more confusing. Anyone have experience with this?
