Bear in mind as well that some MNS/DBS appear distant and unappreciative when they have personal problems so it may also be that rather than them planning to let you go.

Why don't you try talking to them?

"Judy, I'm wondering if you're not pleased with the job I'm doing recently? It feels like something has shifted and if there is something you'd like me to do differently I hope you'll let me know."

If your gut tells you something feels "off," then it is likely on point.
Reason being is that intuition is rarely, if ever really wrong.

But I do agree w/the suggestions the PPs have given you too.

At least this isn't your "bread + butter" job.

Thanks, everyone. I am looking for a new weekend job but I think I'll stick this one out until I find great one. My employers are the phoney-baloney, "You are part of our family" types so I'll probably be told that they need something different - a nanny who could travel more, for example - and they'll give me severance.

Your posts made me laugh today - they were so on the nose to what I have been experiencing! Yeah, I will be getting canned soon!

Less interaction, like asking how the day was or asking to stay later or example.

Stop leaving petty cash.

Stop asking for things you'd been doing like dinner prep.

Less inclined to let you do fun things with the kids. More no.

They will avoid you more, especially the MB.

They aren't as much interested in when you make future plans with the charge.

A pink slip is usually a good sign.

I have never been fired before. This is just a weekend job so I don't interact with my MB/DB that much. Lately, I get the feeling that neither care for me very much. It's okay - I don't care for them much either and can always find another weekend job.

What are the signs?
