It doesn't sound real at all to me honestly.....

I worked for a woman once who was very verbally abusive. I quit after 2 weeks. Best decision trust me. She never got physical with me but I heard from a neighbor that she chased the former nanny down the street with a baseball bat.

Why do you have such low self esteem that you think it is acceptable to be physically abused by your boss?

If you are for real then why are you staying in this job?

BTW, this is totally fucked up, and you know it. Have you seen her pinch or kick the children? Do you think her language toward them is abusive?

You are a mandatory reporter. You need to think carefully about whether you need to tell someone about her. She may think she's funny, but being outrageous with your punk rock friends who "get" you and are also outrageous, and being abusive to your staff and children are two very different things. If she can't tell the difference, then someone needs to say something!

Also, why are you agreeing to keep secrets? People do that for a reason -- which parent is the dangerous one? Does DB not believe in medical care?

I work for a well known family. I have been looking after their 3 girls for 5 years. They are absentee parents. DB is tame, but MB pushes the boundaries. She has a very loud personality, and can be hilarious sometimes. She can also be down right mean and abusive.

When she sees the girls and me, she will say "What's up idiots/lunatics?". She calls me crazy, a f@cking asshole, freak and other things in front of the girls. She has kicked me in the shins and pinched me hard multiple times. She drops the F bomb in every sentence. I think she thinks she is funny. She also makes me keep huge secrets from her husband regarding the children. Its usually regarding their health and doctors. I have to sneak the children to appointments without DB knowing. She usually kicks or pinches me when I talk about these secrets.

It just bothers me for her to do this around her kids.
