No, he is not autistic - I am actually an autism specialist. He is just very sensitive to loud, jarring noises. We have a very quiet and peaceful home.

Haha, PP. I know that was meant to be serious but that did make me laugh. I agree it could be a very passive way of saying she doesn't like you working from home but I doubt it.

Our nanny just gave our son a police squad car with no volume control on it to turn it down. It sounds like there is an actual police chase going on downstairs in the house.
I work from home. I have conference calls during the day.
I feel terrible - I know the nanny meant well - but I cannot have this toy around during the day.
I have to say something and I feel like a huge bitch. Ugh.
