Wow she has a nanny weekday and weekends for ONE child? Does she not want to parent him at all? What do you do on the weekends with him?

She is actually a good mother - she is always around and will play with him often through out the day. She just likes someone else around and hired me specifically because I have teaching experience and a degree in Early Education. She also has a full time housekeeper and a chef.

She is very, very wealthy and high profile. We have a body guard come with us when we go for a walk outside the property.

+1 And do not disclose if you are just getting over an illness or feel a cold coming on. Your employer is a freak, btw.

You only need to tell her if you are sick.

New job or guaranteed hours. I would not lie or withhold information as that can come back to bite you.

I always tell her when one of my charges is sick or if I feel I am coming down with a cold (I promised full disclosure) and she always tells me not to come in. Since it is a weekend job, I don't have sick days and can ill afford to keep taking time off because I might possibly be contagious!

I feel as though I need to talk to her about this - or stop being honest about my health and the health of my weekday charges. What do you think?

She is an effing idiot. Find a new job or she guarantees you get paid no matter what!

You should probably find another job. The second the kid gets sick (which is inevitable) they'll blame you anyway

Yeah you need to just not say anything to her anymore. Unless you're actually sick why are you telling her anything? She sounds nuts.

I think you need a new job.

I also think you stop being honest, unless her child has an immune disorder.
