Im in my early thirties and a nanny and I am going back to school for a second degree. My bosses are only about 4 years older than me. Im single and they have 2 kids. I do compare my life to theirs but not in an envious way. Its funny because I feel like mb does the same thing in her head when we talk about our weekends. She will have 2 bday parties to take the kids to and bulk grocery shopping and I will be going hiking and playing paintball. Everyone is different.

However I have decided this will be my last family. Im determined to stay with them through school for the next few years and move to the next phase of my life.

That is the problem, I don't think I could work for a couple younger than me so maybe this isn't for me

I'm going back to work soon, and my new boss will be younger than me (I've been out of the workforce for awhile). It's not a big deal as long as the subordinate doesn't have an ego problem.

I'm older now. People age and still need to work

Since most parents are going to be 25-45 when they need a nanny (and the vast majority 30-40ish), if this is your career, you're going to have a short one!

The details shouldn't matter. Keep your head down, do your job, go home, get paid, live well.

You are going to have a very difficult time finding employment as you age if you seek to work only for people at least seven years older than you!

It should make no difference whatsoever. In all careers and industries, you will work for people who are older, younger and the same age as you are.

I've worked for parents who were younger . I was 33 at the time and they were both 24. It was a little awkward but they were great employers so that's all that I cared about.

Be careful about not becoming too friendly.
