Why not bill Fri and Sat as "days," and Sunday as some portion of a day, or hourly?

Why not ask the manager? I'm not sure how to bill for this weekend. They contracted through Sunday but came home earlier in the day than I expected. What do you recommend?"

Just ask them. When in doubt, do the generous thing and you will win people's trust (and thus, repeat business).

Travel days are any portion of a day. You are not waking up in your own bed on a Sunday morning - you are getting up presumably at the crack of dawn with a little one. You were contracted to work on Sunday. The

How is it 3 days if you were contracted to stay with them only till Sunday anyway? They are a few hours early so give them time to unpack etc.. you don't have to leave right away they may still need help with taking care of kids, so just bill for all the contracted hours and plan to stay till then.

I have a travel rate when I travel or sleep over with this family. Parents left at noon on Friday and I was to stay with the kids until Sunday. Just found out that they will be home on Sunday morning at around 9. My inclination is to invoice for all three days since I was contracted for all three days. But my actual time here won't even be 48 hours.

I don't know that it matters but these people are rich and I have been their weekend nanny for nearly two years.
