He's lucky to have you. Grrr, this makes me so upset!

Yep.
OP, were the parents paying you to be "on call" while they were out of town? They should have had someone designated as the person to be responsible for him in case of an emergency. If it's you, they should have been paying you for that.
. Hmmm maybe I am daft, because it doesn't seem obvious to me.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:why don't the parents have a back up plan for daytime care?
do they know you have a day job?
did they ever discuss with you being on call during the day? probably not.
tell overseas parents to have a neighbor or grandma pick up kid. you can't bring sick toddler in with 2 mo old baby.
or see if you have neighbor or friend to pick up baby and they can charge parents whatever they want.
stupid situation for both of you
The two month old's parents had already contracted with OP and are paying her for the daytime hours. Why should these parents have to pay the neighbor or friend "whatever they want" to charge? The 17 month old's parents were the irresponsible ones. OP should remain with the two month old, that is who she is responsible for. Not the 17 month old. If the daycare needs to call the police, that is their business. CPS will get involved, 17 month old will get an emergency foster care home, and maybe parents will learn their lesson.
OP, did either of these families KNOW that you had two nannying jobs?
Are you daft?? Obviously they meant the parents of the 17 month old should pay, not the parents of the 2 month old.
