That's great!
Our kids first nanny will often stop by to visit, or maybe spend a couple of hours with the kids and she and they love being able to do that. (And we're glad to have that kind of ongoing relationship with her also.)
Not all nannies want to do that - their second nanny left after a year and said she'd come back and visit but never did.
C'est la vie.

Calm down, you bitter pill of a woman.
You haven't got a clue if it is love or not. Either way, you should react as if threatened.

So nannies can't love their charges now?

It's lovely to keep in touch with former charges. Sounds like it was a very positive day for both of you and here's hoping the relationship continues.

I spent the whole day on Friday, from 7AM to 7PM with a former charge. He is five now and in school full time but had a teacher's day off. I was his nanny from birth until he turned three and have gotten to spend time with him on weekends over the last couple years but not a whole day like we used to.
It was great! Really wonderful. Both of us were smiling all day! I arrived at his house as he was waking up and brought him home after he fell asleep in my car and put him in his bed.
I post this only to remind MBs that sometimes the love between their child and their child's nanny is real. No, I did NOT charge or accept payment for the day - I was happy to be with the little guy.
And to answer the typical DCUM questions:
Yes, I have boundaries...
Yes, I have a new charge whom I truly love as well...
No, I do not feel taken advantage of by my former charge's parents...
Yes, I do have a life... quite a lovely and full life.
