Personally? I would be a bit ticked off as like someone said, it probably made her feel unimportant and like she wasn't really needed. Saying you would have been happy to put him in after school care for the afternoon confirms that. You need to appreciate her more or let her go to another family who will value her.

OP here. We need her help as the after school care does not pick up from sports activities.

Figure out if you need an after school nanny or not and plan accordingly. CC everyone involved on the plan and what the backup plan is. Make sure the club knows if nanny is there, kid goes home with nanny. Make sure nanny knows this too. DH should never have been called in the first place.Decide what days the kid goes to the club and make sure everyone knows that on Wed nanny doesn't need to get him.

I think you're really overthinking this, OP. Nanny was likely annoyed at all the back-and-forths and the mix up. And how was she to know that you'd have been ok with the after-school program. The whole incident was probably annoying, and I'm sure she's over it. Sometimes people can't keep exasperation out of their voices, but it doesn't mean they're going to harbor a lengthy resentment.

I think I would be offended if my MB said she wouldn't have minded if the out of school care had collected the child. It shows a lack of respect for what i do for them and almost gives out a message of 'We don't really need you. ' Not nice for the nanny.

Nanny was supposed to get him. Of course she'd be annoyed if the plans kept changing. Was she supposed to get him? Was he supposed to go to the club? Was dad going to get him? Then back to her? Who would like so much chaos?
