Obviously, you are stupid. The more kids, the more work! You really believe someone should keep five kids for $10/hr?

you're joking. I wouldn't watch TWO kids for 4 hours for $60.

We're saying $10/hr per family. Understand?

I just posted above. The kids I watch are 6-12, 1 girl and 4 boys and all "difficult " as well but I can handle them.

Children that age are pretty easy to babysit. Before you whine on me, I do this about every couple weeks for a family so know what I am talking about. All I usually do is feed them, break up argument if any, and start up an interesting topic to discuss or puzzle and game. If they want I let them use their electronics. For this job it should be $25/h so $100 anything above that would be greedy IMO.

I agree. That seems about right, and hopefully worth your time and effort.

If you really get $200 for a 4 hour job, I will be massively impressed.

I would ask for $35 an hour. 10 year olds are not as hard as younger kids and you can plan ahead for activities that will fill the time.

4 hours can be filled with some games, a craft and a movie quite easily. You can give the parents a shopping list of items to have on hand (craft supplies, popcorn, rented DVDs, pizza, make your own sundae stuff, etc...)

I was asked to babysit during a party. It will only be 4 hours, but is for a group of five 10 year olds who are pretty hard to handle. How do other sitters charge for groups?
