Generally there are TWO parents involved in a employer/nanny situation and I cannot believe that employers feel it is unreasonable that an employee/nanny cannot count on one of the two of them being on time. If both parents are habitually late, the nanny's guaranteed hours need to be extended.

Also, parents need to remember that their child/children are waiting for them too. How cruel to never be home on time for your own children!

One main reason to hire a nanny is for flexibility. Some people cannot get off work at the same time every day.

Then you need to schedule your nanny later and pay for that time. Convenience costs money. Your nanny has every right to plan things during what is her own time. If you need to infringe on that, you need to arrange a schedule that actually works.
