I absolutely would not pay her prospectively - essentially advancing her time (leave or pay). That is basically a loan and yes, you're right - it can get very messy.
This. All employment pays for hours worked on a lag - and it is usually a week, not 3 business days. You cannot report your hours on Friday and presto magic have a direct deposit appear in her bank the same day.
Maybe she is used to being paid cash off the books, and doesn't understand the process. If she worked at Target or McDonalds it would be on a lag too.
