I think I've seen $30K somewhere, but I don't believe it. Our agency has high turnover too. We've been with a couple of different agencies, a small one and a big one. Without exception, the only LCCs who were good were former au pairs who stayed in the country. I always assumed they were motivated by a passion for the job.

I would not be surprised if the lower figures listed in this thread are accurate and reflective of multiple agencies.

I think there's high turnover because the position comes with promises of bonus income, paid training trips, etc which never really materialize for most LCCs. CC advertised the position on Craigslist in my area. Our LCCs definitely earn the $25 per family plus mileage and fees for family meetings -- nowhere near 30k, and definitely not a livable income.

My LCC has 7 families and I highly doubt she's going through all the trouble for $175/month. Something's off with the numbers posted here.

Op here. That's why I asked. I likewise performed a simple Google search and the numbers were all over the place. $30k is way different from $25/family/month. Doesn't seem like anyone here has specifics either.

I know our LCC for CC quit because she's paid $20 per family per month. She spent more in trying to have childcare and gas to go to meetings, planned mediation, meet up with her cluster etc. the phone calls, monthly meetings, mediation, rematch etc are all unpaid and the a,punt of drama is mind boggling

These numbers are an embarrassing reality check, considering what the agency owners are charging families.

Apia treats its community counselors as employees and provides them with more regular compensation and benefits. So different agencies have different pay structures.

That is insane. A few hundred dollars a month??

My understanding is that it is a couple of hundred a month, though I suppose could get as high as a few hundred in some cases.

CC pays $25 per month per family on your roster, and from that you are expected to host the monthly meeting. You are paid small fees and reimbursed mileage for in-person meetings. You also get "bonuses" for recruiting, renewing, etc, but given the monthly stipend it can't be much. The local LCCs where I am fight over new families to keep the income.
For those keeping track, yes, your LCC gets all of $300 for the 8k you pay in annual fees!

How much though? Like a few hundred a month "not much" or like a few thousand a month?

They get paid per family.
Paid per month contact, then certain milestones, like renewal or the like.
Referral pay.

It's not much for the work you do.

It's per AP/Family. And it's not a lot.

Thinking about applying for an LCC job (not DC area). Does anyone know what they are paid? Is it by family or a flat rate?
