I'm sure this is a case of Dad or kids thinking Mom bought the items for family use, or vice versa.

Just mark whatever you buy with your name using a Sharpie. Then let the parents know that you noticed some of your snacks/lunch items have been getting consumed by mistake, so you thought you would start marking everything to help prevent confusion.

This is absurd. What sort of people are these to be drinking a soda that they know they are not purchasing? How do they know you don't drink straight out of the bottle? You're way more understanding of this than Id be. I don't get the midset of greedy entitled people like this honestly.

Yeah definitely say that. I would be mortified as an MB if someone in the house are nannys food. We got ours a big basket that lives on a shelf and one for on the counter (bread whqtever). I never touch anything in there. And of course the nanny can eat fruit, juice etc that we have already in the house.

Hi op here. Thanks for you all suggestions! I'm definitely going to ask or mention the specific space. I used to use a veggie drawer that was never used for months after I started working then all of a sudden mb began putting stuff in it. She was always telling me to bring and leave whatever I need to so I found that strange.

As for the water it had to be intentional ( not malicious) because she buys very specific groceries and knows it's not theirs. There are no teens in the house and db watches me put my stuff in the fridge every morning when I relieve him and then he grabs his lunch and leaves. Just find it weird lol

Been there, I think we all have! The latest for me is the teenager getting into my cottage cheese because she thought it was hers... Um, no sweetheart, you didn't buy any of the food, why would it be specifically yours?

Ask for dedicated space for your food and/or whether it will help to put your name on your your items with permanent marker. Just asking might be enough to point out that you noticed that your things are disappearing.

Ask. Then invest in a permanent marker.

This made me laugh for some reason. I don't think you're losing it, I'm guessing someone in the house is drinking it. Probably not intentionally, husband thinks wife bought it so he drinks it or vice versa. Can you just bring in one at a time?

I have sparkling waters I bring in with me and usually when replace them 2 or 3 at a time. They only stock bottled water and yesterday I had one left. I get here this morning and it's gone. Would you ask about it? I feel like mentioning it would keep them from drinking them in the future. I can't imagine them doing this because it's not something they have regularly but they have in the past but a different brand. I sort of just want to ask to make sure I'm not losing it lol
