Maybe she feels unappreciated for whatever reason? The behaviour seems passive aggressive. Talk to her and see how she is feeling about everything.

Give her a one pager of her job duties to remind her of expectations (i.e. Start time, get child ready, meals, errands, etc.)
She should not be pushing off things to you.
Right now she is massively overpaid, so should have no reason to complain.
Try a conversation with her.
If quality of care continues to drop you'll have to give a wArning and/or get. Replacement wo an attitude problem.

What do you mean shes not doing breakfast and dinner?
What time is she paid to start and what time does your kid need to leave for school?

OP here. It's new and we only have until sept but it's getting frustrating. We are trying to make it work but could be she knows it's ending and it taking it easy. I just don't want such a good thing to end badly but it's getting increasingly tense.

Is this a recent change? Is something going on with her? Or are you looking for reasons to let her go? It's ok to do it if you no longer need her, just be upfront about it.

I'm at a loss and not sure if this is normal. We've had the same nanny for four years. Our DD entered five day preschool and we continue to pay full time. However, lately our nanny just pulls up and makes me put DD in car while she drops off her stuff inside. She also stopped doing breakfast and dinner. She still does laundry but I'm feeling a bit burned. We do love her but she is basically gets paid full time for four hours of work. I've talked to her but she gets very defensive. Is it time for move on? Is this normal?
