Your nanny most likely plays on her cellphone all day. They all do.

Mine does not, I'm 100% certain.

I am a nanny with my own kid 2 years old the MB pay me $ 11 h for 7 hours a day 3 days a week . Her BB is only 5 months old. I am looking for something else because I need more money so I am going to babysit one more child. In my house I hope she is ok with it.

I pay a sahm $10 an hour now who watched my 4yo along with her 5yo ( they were friends before) she also takes my kid with her if she needs to run an errand and sometimes my kid has to go to her older kids sports games. She does give my kid dinner as well.
For 2 kids I would pay $15
You cant ask for much more as you have your own child so it is similar to a share.

Too little. For all that she is doing you should be paying a minimum of $15/hr. You are going to lose a friendship by being so cheap and don't say she is fine with this. For two kids, $20 minimum.

How is $10 an hour too little? If we were doing a share paying $20 to the sitter our share would be $10 each. She is not a professional Nanny, she watches my kid with her kid.

Wait what? How is she not a professional? Your reasoning is weird. I bet she quits soon.

because shes a sahm, I know her as a Mom, she has never been a Nanny by profession. We became friends through our kids and now she watches my kid part time for extra cash.

Can you consider getting an in-home license?

15 an hour. You could ask for so much more if you didn't have your kid there.

Where are you located?

In suburban Maryland I'd expect to pay $15-20/hr for babysitting or childcare in someone's home.

If I knew you were planning some sort of activity that drew on your Montessori background I might pay more, but given that it's only one day a week I don't think that would change the rates dramatically.

6-7 hours for 2 children. Age 4 and 15 months. My son is 12 months old. I used to teach at a Montessori preschool before becoming a sahm. I also worked as a nanny for several years before I went into teaching. The family prefers that I do childcare at my house.
