OP here and yes, you are right. He is 6 years old to answer other question and I am his first nanny.

I feel paranoid now that he has overheard something.

Easiest thing to do is say, "I'm not going anywhere, honey. Why do you think I would go back to myold job?" It's probably just a kid misunderstanding how nannies work.
