You need a day to rest to really get better.

Just like daycares, kids aren't allowed to come in until they've been vomit/diarrhea free for 24 hours. So should you.

I strongly advise you stay home & rest up as much as possible.

I know you need the money, but you also need the next 24 hrs to just be sure that you are truly better.
Plus it's best to err on the side of caution when it comes to caring for young children.

I wonder if you have food poisoning instead of the flu.

I always work when I have the startings of a bug, because chances are the kids will get sick quicker than me, and MB always pays me when I get to stay home when the kids are sick. So I don't have to actually use my sick days if I can tough it out for a day or two.

Agree. There's no way of knowing for sure that you got it from them though, so I'd make it more about the fact that she told you to stay home. People like this do not deserve your consideration. Dump them for the next best thing.

So I was not feeling that great today, but I pushed through the whole day. As soon as I got home I started vomiting, intense cramps, diarrhea, chills, sweating, fever, etc. I texted my boss to give her a heads up that I might need tomorrow off, as to not put her in a bind in the morning. She said I probably caught it from them since they all had it the prior week over winter break. She told me shed ask her sister if she could come in, and she said she can. I suddenly feel much better and want to ask if I can still come in. I only get paid for time worked and I could use the money. Should I take the day off or ask her if I can actually work? Thanks!
