I could never have my Nanny be someone I strongly detested, however we don't have to be BFF material.
Just as long as we both have good chemistry, mesh well on a personal level + share the same childcare philosophies in general.
Most important is the quality of care she provides for my child.
This. I have to trust her to make the right decisions when it comes to care for dd and have the same outlook on certain things and we have to get along and have mutual respect. My nanny is great but there are some things we have completely different outlook on (different religions, different political views). However those do not affect her work and she does a good job, adores and dotes on dd, makes good decisions when it's important and checks with me if she's not sure.
