Public Library are great meeting place also what are your little ones interests I try to get my little ones in classes based off of interests and then they have play date with other children with similar interests. Also tip make sure they are involved for more then a month or two even at my little girls young age if they have interests in something I'm all in but they do it for at least a year through all the highs and lows and I think this also helps with forming relationship a little more naturally with other little ones they genuinely like as opposes to having play date setup. I still do both meaning setting up playmates but my oldest two have friends they love to hang out with already.

Our nanny sets up play dates and suggests classes that other nannies go to with kids the same age. If they've worked I. The area for a while, a good nanny has nanny friends and is in the know about library events and classes, but will also enthusiastically take kids to classes you enroll your kids in.

This is a hard age. I suggest just signing up for more classes at my gym and dropping your Saturday for dance class or something else. Is there a gymboree close by? At 2-3, you can put in part time preschool.

Not sure how far you want her driving but some of the rec ctrs in moco have weekly indoor play times. There is definitely one in Burtonsville at the Praisner Rec Ctr. 3 mornings a week they get out a bunch of toys on the basketball court and the kids can just play, for free. They have balls, a couple of slides, ride on toys, push toys, that kind of stuff.
I want to say someone told me there is one in Wheaton but im not sure of the name of the rec ctr. You could probably find out though.

Does Nanny have friends with kids the same age that live near you?
This is a hard time for meeting people with the weather being colder, not many people out at the parks.

Nanny won't have anyone to set up with playdates with until you get more activities- try more classes that the nanny takes to and they will meet kids for playdates.

Looking for activities that my nanny can do with my almost 1 year old daughter during week. She's enrolled in MyGym 2x a week (once with me on weekends) and does story time different places 1-2x week. Music class starting in Jan (with me on weekends). Any other ideas of places they could go to meet other people and so she gets some interaction? I'd also like to have her set up some play dates, but it's hard where we live (Rockville) to find since it's not like DC or like a neighborhood we live in. Should I expect nanny to set up play dates?
