How often does she come? As a rule of thumb for myself, I give the equivalent of one typicalsitting in cash or a gift card that I know the sitter would like. So if the sitter cares for my DC 5 hrs a week for $20/hr, I give $100.

We don't have a private nanny, but rather use an in-home sitter that we found through a network (Infant Toddler Family Day Care). As a first time mom I am clueless. What/how much is an appropriate gift for the holidays? Thanks!
