Gentle force feeding, for the lack of a better expression, is common in many countries, to a certain extent anyway. But what this woman did was not feeding the baby when she wasn't hungry, but essentially making her choke and then instead of helping her, continue to pour water down her throat. I can't imagine she did it out of malice, but this kind of disregard to the child she was watching is just mind boggling. What a horrible situation for all involved.

If there was a nipple on the bottle, which there was, it should be common knowledge you use that nipple to feed the baby.


I don't have a link.. I know because my husband is from the same country. like I said I have seen it before, not saying it's right. But it is common.


Well, it has been stated that was the cause of death, so either there is something inherently wrong with the feeding method, or the "nanny" was negligent in how she did it. Thank goodness it's all on tape so what she did cannot be disputed.

they could get a nanny cam, but not a professional nanny?? To all parents pay your nanny well. and get a professional one. that way you can be sure she loves what she is doing. not everyone can take care of a child. not everyone is fit to be a mother. make sure your nanny loves what she does and that she has a passion for her work.

The parents who let the illegal from Nigeria move-in and have full responsibility of their baby should also be charged for their crimes. Why not? They probably weren't paying the woman anything either.
