Most parents I know want an above "average" nanny for their child. Perhaps that strikes you as insane. So be it.

Not sure in which neighborhood you live. Certainly not everyone can afford the top-notch nanny.

She hasn't even been paid that before lol. Shes going from a nanny job at $18/hr to asking for $25.

This is an 18/h job no question about it. I hav a similar job and similar experience but do a little more than u and m paid 18/h.

My rates are $25/hr for one child. Not a big deal.

Ask for $25 and you will seem greedy and overpriced. If you're in the DC area you will be competing with tons of other highly qualified people who are willing to take far less.

I think $25 is pretty high as you will only be caring for one child and don't have other responsibilities. Just because you've been paid that before doesn't mean you should have a guaranteed raise. I think closer to $18 is reasonable.

I've been caring for kids now for 8 years. As a nanny the bulk of that experience is with infants,
Currently working at a daycare, but want to go back to nannying so I have more time to focus on school. I've decided to change careers.
I have an offer for 33 hours a week spread over 3 days. The times are perfect because it works with the classes I need to take.
I'd be caring for one baby who will be 3 months old starting at the time of the job. Baby has no special needs. There are no household chores expected of me other than washing the baby's clothes.
My rate posted is $15 to $25 an hour. The job rate the family gives is $15 -$25 an hour.
I do have taxes taken out.

I want to ask for the $25 , but think that might sound greedy.

My last full time nanny job was $18.25 an hour. My part time gig of 2 years is $20 per hour.

What should I ask for?
