Some people are just rude .. Yes they are paying for the job but if your children are happy and love their nanny is because she has also give them love , and nurturing and that is priceless , you don't hire a person to love and nurture your child /dren , but if some do , take good care of her , if you are good with your nanny the nanny will do the best to make your children happy ....good parents love that..

Trust me, everyone prefers money to presents.

But if you feel uncomfortable about handing someone cash as a gift, you can also give a nice gift card.

And most of all, do not forget to give her a homemade card made personally + signed by your kids!

No cad,but money, money ,lots of money.

Maybe a card. the nanny didn't do this out of the goodness of their heart - it was a JOB. One they were PAID to do.

Also, you don't say under what circumstances the nanny is leaving.

obvious nanny post. why not just admit you're annoyed at what you did or did not receive?

MBs, I'd like to know what kind of a gift would you give to your nanny that is leaving your family after 7 years, having helped raise 2 of them since they were born and two older children? She's been excellent over the year, did a lot of housework stuff...
