+1000

I have to agree w/PP.

Your "nanny" we're all the proverbial hats in your family.
The only duty she didn't have was sleeping w/your husband.

we've had Au Pairs for 4 years for 4 kids.
anything for the KIDS.
so kid laundry, cooking kids meals, cleaning up kitchen after kids meals, cleaning up playroom, family room, kids bedrooms. This means vacuuming and sweeping, not mopping.

NOT cleaning cars, getting oil changes or running general household errands

I know a few Au Pair families with only 2 kids, where the AP does grocery shopping, because it's mostly kid food, and they have several extra hours available during the day

Hi I used to employ a nanny who would drive the kids, cook fresh dinners, help around the house, do all the laundry for 4 kids, grocery shop at 2 super markets, clean the cars, get oil changes.
Took the kids to the pool.
I was wondering how much can an au pair do while the kids are in school?
Or are au pairs used strictly for babysitting?
Thank you!
