Our former nanny brought along her baby that was the same age as our son. Fast forward 7 years and they refer to each other as brothers. She is a huge part of our lives and would throw herself in front of a train for my son. She asks tk sleep over one weekend every few months to just hang with the kids. DH and I get a night in a hotel room.

It was a great experience for everyone. Good luck OP, I hope you have the same wonderful run we did.

Our very first nanny set up was a nanny with a similarly aged baby as our daughter who wanted a share similar to the one you described. Found her right here on DCUM and she was a lovely woman. The share worked beautifully: the babies bonded, she lavished love and attention on both and we were able to pay a share rate. While I wouldn't suggest a share with three babies, two babies with one of them being the nanny's child can, with the right nanny and family, be a great option.

Good idea OP!!

Because the prior job description sounded like a second form of hell.

Thank you. I actually got a different offer tonight for a family with a 4 month old boy ( same age as my ds). I think the fact that I have a Montessori degree has been very appealing to families. They're willing to pay my pre pregnancy nanny rate. I'm going to accept this offer instead of the nanny share.

This question is for nannies.

So when you start, your baby will be 9 months and baby #2 will be 3 months. Then 3 months later, another 3 month old baby will join the share.

So since it is 3 months later, your baby would be 12 months, baby #2 would be 6 months, and baby #3 would be 3 months?

I think the age differences/schedule difference would be hard to manage.

Yes exactly .

Um ok except I am the nanny who was offered this position.

Op here: basically when the first baby joins the other mom in the share will have her baby and be on maternity leave. It would be 3 babies who are 3 months apart so 3 under 1.
