More power to OP, but if I gave nanny 3 weeks off with pay over 2 months and then she said she wants to take her "vacation" week right after I would just use that time to find a new nanny and not ask her to return.
You get to choose when you go on vacation, why shouldn't she? She would be we llrid of a birch like you.
