They should pay for your hotel, Airbnb. I am wondering where they are staying themselves. Why can't they accommodate for u in their first plans?

What do you mean when you say you "stay with them" are you a live in Nanny and this is your primary residence?
If that is the case they need to put you up in a hotel and provide you with transportation if you dont already have it.

How totally rude & inconsiderate of them.
They need to book you a room @Best Western then.
Really.

How inconsiderate of them to spring this on you last minute.
Since they agreed to take you in, then it is entirely on them to provide housing accommodations.
I say they need to pay for your stay in a safe + decent hotel somewhere.

Water and electricity could be cut off during renovations.
OP, you are a live in and they are obligated to,pay for a decent, clean hotel room as it is their decision to inconvenience you.

They must legally give you 30 days notice. They can't just put you on the street. What's wrong with them? This is stupid.

I nanny for a family and stay with them. They just sprung it on me that for the next week they are having contractors in and need me to stay somewhere else. I dont know any one in the area and am unsure of what to do.
Any ideas? Is someone willing to take me in for a week?
