My former nanny was from there. She was a biotch in hindsight. but luck of the draw, I guess. Other than her attitude, she showed up on time, good attendance, good driver...

Meh,

I've tried a couple of times to work with them. I filled out applications and even stopped by the office in Bethesda (is it still there) to hand deliver them. But they never checked my references or called me back. When I called to ask why the lady who answered told me " People don't hire male nannies". That was a few years ago. I haven't checked back since.

I've found my jobs via Care.com and DCUM. I'm currently working with a family in Arlington and have been with them for 3.5 years, and will probably be with them until the youngest is in school.

You should try and work with them. Leave no stone unturned.

I was placed with WHN and it was the best experience. I've referred friends and other families there as well. I know some have not had a good experience, but each person is different. I had a great one.

The family pays, not the nanny, and WHN charges the family a percentage of the nannies salary to the family. The nanny doesn't pay anything for the placement.

Make sure you're current in CPR/First Aid.

Hi!
I was wondering if any nannies have worked with White House nannies. What is your experience with them? Have they placed you with great families? Do they pay you or the families? I always wonder if agency take a percent of the nannies pay.
Thank you!!
