Yes I have absolutely been to interviews where I thought I had really nailed it.
The chemistry was excellent and it seemed the prospective family and I were on the same page about parenting philosophy, pay, etc.
Then I get the dreaded email telling me they thank me for taking time to meet them, but they have decided to go with another candidate.
However if things do not work out with her, they will contact me so they are keeping my info.
Or I never hear back and contact them to see if they had made a decision yet only to find out they did, but wished me luck in my search and that I seemed like a good nanny.
I'm sure all nannies have felt discouraged at one time or another.
But keep forging ahead....Remember that there is a perfect family out there and one reason they are perfect is that they recognize what an awesome nanny you are.
