You took the time to click on someone's add, judge them for it, copy it here, and then sat back and waited for others to be judgmental ass****s too, when all you had to do was scroll past it.
Nice use of time, no wonder you are looking for a job.

Hmm. We're judgemental assholes for taking offense to someone offering illegal wages? What she is trying to do is illegal. Would you be as understanding if she stole from you because she's a single mom? That's what she's trying to do. She's planning to steal wages her future nanny is entitled to by law.

Who the hell cares? This affects you personally in NO WAY. Posting it here is just mean spirited and serves no purpose but to insult this woman.

I'm sick of these "Can you believe this job" posts and the vitriol that they are trying to stir up. No, this woman can not afford a nanny (though from the representation here why would she want to?). Posting anonymous insults here does nothing to change her situation or the situation of any other family looking for a nanny who can not pay for one. You all just want to bash any poor jerk who would dare to make the grave mistake of thinking they can have a nanny when they should probably just be happy with a warm body who can keep their kids alive (I mean WHY did they have kids if they can't afford them, right?!?!).

So remind me, what purpose does it serve to "discuss" this for the 100th time?

It sounds like she could qualify for subsidies. What is frustrating to nannies is when people who have no business trying to employ another person attempt to use their unfortunate financial situation as an excuse to underpay someone. Do people not consider that the individual you hire, in this case, to devote 50 hours per week to caring for your family has to LIVE on the $6/hour you're trying to pay them? Get the subsidies and put your kid in daycare, and don't impoverish someone else because you're entitled and self-centered.

She can put her kid in daycare. You want to know what rubs people the wrong way? She expects to get a nanny for nothing. She could very easily afford daycare at that rate, but she wants someone to come to her house and care for her kid for $6/hour.
I can guarantee that if she walked into your office and said "I need a really experienced attorney, but I can only afford to pay you $6.00/hour," you wouldn't be as understanding.
She doesn't walk into the best restaurant in DC and say, I want the most expensive steak on your menu, but I only want to pay $10.00."
She doesn't walk into the nicest salon in the city and say "I want you to give me a $100 haircut, but I only want to pay $15.00."
She'd be laughed out of those places, but she expects a childcare worker to provide the most expensive form of childcare for her and you cry "leave the poor single mother alone." BS.

Just bc the kids are school age, doesn't mean they're in school. Preschool costs money and many children do not attend.

Does Alexandria have free preschool for all 4 year olds? No. So maybe she feels that it's not necessary, she can't afford it or something else.

Well just leave the poor single mother along obviously she is not thinking clear because 4 and 1/2 are attending to school. "No child left behind" if she is keeping the twins at home ,she is doing wrong. Maybe that is why she post the wrong add. she is not thinking clear. leave her along .

It clearly says 6:30-4 and "full time" and yet you feel ok making the assumption the kids will be in school and the poster only really needs 3 hours?
